Rhaegel Targaryen is the third child of King Daeron II Targaryen and Queen Myriah Martell. The younger brother of Prince Baelor and Prince Aerys and older brother of Prince Maekar. He takes after his Mother in looks, appearing more Dornish than Valyrian other than his lilac eye colour.Many at court whisper of his looks, but they are more interested in gossiping about his 'madness.' The Prince is not cruel or power hungry, but rather meek and gentle. Far different than his brothers, especially Baelor and Maekar.He is seen as a curiosity to some and insane to others, sometimes seeming as though he is in his own world entirely. He enjoys singing and dancing, something he is often seen and heard doing through the halls of the Red Keep for all to see.He is wed to Lady Alys Arryn with whom he has three children; twins Aelor and Aelora and a daughter named Daenora.
Appearance
Rhaegel has the dark hair of his Mother, and lilac eyes of his Father. Standing at 5'7, he is a slender man with narrow shoulders, much unlike his brothers; one of the many reasons he is seen as 'sickly.'fc: Ben Whishaw
- Rhaegel is neurodivergent, something not widely accepted or at all understood. His 'odd' behaviour is something he himself cannot sometimes comprehend due to the lack of understanding of such conditions. I portray him as having traits linked to autism and bipolar disorder.
- He loves his children very much, but can find the responsibility difficult to deal with. Often feeling as though he is failing as a Father for needing breaks or embarrassing them with his antics.
- He often pretends that people passing judgement on him doesn't bother him, but it's a lie. Hearing their whispers (or sometimes very purposeful loud conversations) about him does leave him feeling isolated. Wishing he was more like his brothers.
- He can be quite affectionate, another thing that sets him apart from the rest of his family.
- He scarcely leaves the Red Keep, he dislikes tourneys and is often kept confined to the castle to keep him from 'causing a scene.'
- While he is not a dragon dreamer, he does tend to have nightmares that plague him.
